Musosoup Review: Costs, Coverage and SubmitLink Compared
Musosoup press coverage and playlist promotion
Musosoup makes sense if your release needs press coverage as well as playlists: interviews, reviews, radio and social promotion. SubmitLink is the more focused option if you want to choose Spotify playlists and send your song directly to their curators.
This assessment is published by SubmitLink. We reviewed Musosoup’s public pricing and product information in September 2026; we have not purchased a campaign for this review.
Musosoup pricing: the campaign fee and optional offers
Musosoup charges £42 GBP to activate an approved campaign. Its January 2026 fee announcement confirms the increase from £36, so older reviews may show an outdated price.
Additional paid coverage is optional. Musosoup’s pricing page lists an average of £8-£12 for a paid promotion, with individual curators setting their prices. Work out your total as the activation fee plus the offers you choose; the entry price is not a bundle of every paid opportunity.
SubmitLink paid submissions cost $2-$5 USD per playlist. You choose your targets and see the total before paying. That purchase is for a curator response and consideration, rather than an agreed press feature. Compare the actual services in your basket, and keep the GBP and USD prices separate.
Musosoup free coverage and paid campaign activation
Submitting music for Musosoup’s approval is free, but activating a campaign costs money. After activation, you can accept free coverage options. Musosoup says paid offers also include a free option; buying extra promotion is your choice.
If you need to start without paying a campaign fee, SubmitLink lets you submit a song to up to two eligible playlists free every 24 hours. Only playlists accepting free submissions are available in that mode, and replies are not guaranteed. See the free playlist submission guide.
Musosoup campaign approval and curator offers
Musosoup reviews your submission before activation. Once it is running, curators can approach you with offers, and you decide which to accept. You can also approach curators through its marketplace. Its product overview describes direct conversations with curators and a range of coverage beyond Spotify.
On SubmitLink, start with a track the builder can find on Spotify, inspect playlist names, estimated listeners, historical acceptance rates and prices, then choose your submissions. You can listen to a playlist before deciding whether the audience fits your song.
For Musosoup, compare the proposed publication, format and audience before accepting an offer. For SubmitLink, compare each playlist’s music and listener estimates before submitting. Track press coverage and Spotify listening separately so you can see what each part of your budget achieved.
Musosoup coverage refunds and SubmitLink response credits
Musosoup advertises a campaign-fee refund if you receive no coverage. This is a coverage commitment, not a stated number of streams or a promise of a particular publication.
SubmitLink’s paid response guarantee works differently: if a curator does not respond within seven days, the submission cost comes back as campaign credit. A decline is a response. Curators decide which songs they add, so paying does not guarantee playlist placement.
SubmitLink guarantees its network’s playlists are bot-free. Our specialists review playlists and monitor for artificial streaming and suspicious growth. SubmitLink was created by the same team that made artist.tools, our sister company. This playlist-quality guarantee is separate from editorial acceptance or a fixed stream count.
Evaluating Musosoup curator offers and artist reviews
Musosoup publishes its fees and explains what its curator offers cover. For your own release, focus on whether those opportunities match your audience and goals. A good fit for an artist building a press portfolio may be different from a good fit for someone concentrating on Spotify discovery.
Its SustainableCurator explanation describes optional artist contributions alongside free coverage choices. Check what the free and paid versions of an offer include, what will be published and who the audience is. Do not assume that a paid press service is a purchase of Spotify streams.
When reading Musosoup reviews, look for the campaign date, total spend, genre and actual coverage received. A review with a different budget or a press objective may tell you little about the Spotify audience you want. Old fees and raw placement counts are especially poor shortcuts for deciding value.
When to choose Musosoup or SubmitLink
Choose Musosoup if you want to consider press and media offers alongside playlist opportunities. Choose SubmitLink if your immediate goal is targeted Spotify submissions, with control over the playlists and a free way to start.
You can allocate separate budgets to press and Spotify promotion, but check for overlapping curators before paying twice. Decide what a useful result means for each budget: a relevant interview, an engaged playlist audience or another clearly defined outcome.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Musosoup cost?
The campaign activation fee is £42 GBP after approval. Any paid curator offers you accept add to that total. Check the current pricing and each offer before committing.
Can I use Musosoup without buying paid offers?
Yes. After paying to activate an approved campaign, you can choose free coverage options instead of additional paid promotion. That is different from running a campaign with no entry fee.
Does Musosoup guarantee Spotify streams?
Its advertised guarantee concerns coverage or a campaign-fee refund. Do not treat that as a guaranteed stream count. If Spotify listening is your priority, assess the actual playlist audience and track listener activity after promotion.
Is SubmitLink a Musosoup alternative for press coverage?
SubmitLink focuses on Spotify playlist submissions. Musosoup covers a broader mix of press, radio, social and playlist opportunities. SubmitLink is an alternative for the playlist part of your release plan, rather than a replacement for an interview or media campaign.
Can I try SubmitLink before paying?
Yes. Submit a song to up to two eligible playlists free every 24 hours. Free submissions do not promise replies. Paid submissions cost $2-$5 USD per playlist and include a response within seven days or campaign credit; neither route guarantees placement.
